About The Author
Daniel Bookman, born in Glasgow, Scotland, is a writer,
thinker, and practicing lawyer.
In Beyond Power, he offers a searching and rational exploration
of the moral and structural forces shaping our age, including
geopolitical conflict, radicalization, social division, Israel and the
Jewish people, and the fragile bond between compassion and power.
Drawing on philosophical reasoning, psychological insight, and
historical perspective, the author presents a clear and thoughtful
diagnosis of the crises confronting contemporary society. Yet his
inquiry, though deeply analytical, is guided by a genuine concern
for the fate of Western democracy and the moral foundations that
sustain human community.
He writes with the conviction that understanding is empowerment and that insight engenders solutions. Once the true nature of a problem is grasped, confusion and paralysis yield to wisdom and discernment, illuminating what may be undertaken and, more importantly, what should not even be attempted. His other major work, Fundamentally Rational, is an analytical exposition of foundational themes, including ethics, religion, creation, the Divine as it relates to humanity, science, death and the afterlife, evolution, and Genesis.
